LEX Summit is a space for collaboration, learning, and connection, and we are dedicated to ensuring it is free from harassment or discrimination of any kind.
This Code of Conduct applies to all LEX Summit events, workshops, sessions, social activities, and any associated online communications (including the event app and email threads). It outlines our expectations for participant behavior and the consequences for any unacceptable behavior.
Uphold Professionalism & Respect
As knowledge workers, mutual respect and professionalism are at the core of our community. All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes collaboration and inclusivity. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior in any form will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Offensive comments or conduct related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or any personal characteristics.
- Inappropriate use of sexualized language or imagery in presentations, discussions, or materials.
- Intimidation, stalking, or unwanted attention, including unwelcome physical contact.
- Disruption of sessions, talks, or other event activities.
- Unwelcome photography, video, or audio recording without explicit consent.
Treat everyone you encounter—fellow attendees, event staff, and venue personnel—with courtesy and professionalism.
Take Care of the Space
LEX Summit venues are shared spaces, and we encourage you to explore, network, and engage with care. The following are prohibited:
- Damage or vandalism of event property or personal belongings.
- Possession of weapons or any object that could be used as a weapon.
- Actions that compromise the safety or comfort of others.
Help us maintain a safe and positive environment for everyone.
Make It a Positive Experience for All
We want all attendees to have an exceptional experience at the LEX Summit. This includes adhering to all local laws, event policies, and all venue-specific rules. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Possession or use of illegal substances, including narcotics and other banned substances.
- Excessive intoxication or disruptive behavior resulting from alcohol consumption.
- Smoking outside designated areas.
Please consume alcohol responsibly and adhere to all venue rules.
Consequences for Unacceptable Behavior
Filevine reserves the right to address any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, including those reported after the event concludes. Participants who are found to be in breach may be subject to actions that include, but are not limited to:
- A verbal or written warning.
- Removal from the event without refund.
- Notification of law enforcement, if necessary.
Decisions regarding enforcement of this Code of Conduct are at the sole discretion of event organizers.
Reporting a Violation
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct or have any concerns, please report it to a member of the event staff or contact the organizers directly at lexsummit@filevine.com. All reports will be handled promptly and with discretion.
